What paint to use to customize pants?
To paint on pants or jeans, use standard paints or any other paint because they are all resistant to the washing machine.
In our example we decided to go for neon fluorescent paint. But you are free to use other effect paints such as phosphorescent or chameleon, to create original creations.
Pick an idea
To put a custom on jeans, define in advance what you are going to do: choose the location of the hands, the addition of other patterns or paint splashes.
You can use the tracing technique or trace your outlines with a gray pencil.
How to make handprints with paint?
The requiery equipment
To get a better result, lay the jeans flat. Remember that customizing with your hands soaked in paint can stain your things, especially if you do it with a child.
Get some paper plates, and pour the white paint and masking tape if you want to secure the areas not to be painted.

To make handprints with paint, pour white paint into a paper plate and place your hand in the paint.
Once your hand is white, place it flat on the desired location, press for 10 seconds and remove it immediately. Repeat the operation with the other hand if necessary, then wash your hands with water.
Create a thermal effect with paint
Once the white paint is dry, start by drawing the outlines of the hand with a brush using the coldest color, here blue.
Then draw the inside of the hand with the warmest color: red.

How to wash and care for your jeans?
Whether you decide to paint in a single color or with the thermal effect, there are still a few tips you need to know to keep your prints on your jeans.
This step is not necessary on denim but if you wish, you can add a finishing varnish. There is a matte one to obtain a natural paint effect and a glossy one to give a glossy plastic look to your custom.
If you wear these jeans regularly, we suggest washing them on a delicate cycle.
Wait 24 hours before you can wear your thermal hand creation on denim. Once dry, wear and show off your new style on the street and share on social media to inspire even more people!
