Materials for dyeing the inside of your sneakers

Which paint to dye the inside of your sneakers?

To dye the inside of your sneakers, simply apply standard or neon paint diluted with 50% water.

You can also mix the paints together to get the color of your choice. In our case, we will mix the standard yellow paint with the neon red.

Tools for dyeing sneakers?

To dye the inside of your sneakers, pour the paint or your mixture into an empty pot.

Then collect the dye with a wool applicator, which will allow you to dye your surface more quickly thanks to a wool ball that soaks up the paint.

You can also use a brush for small areas or details.

How to dye the inside of your sneakers?

Now we can move on to dyeing the inside of your shoes or sneakers, using our mixture and the materials above.

Protecting risky areas

If your pair is dirty, do not hesitate to wash it a little before dyeing.

Then protect the areas that you risk dyeing by mistake.

- Tape the tongue on the front of your sneakers

- Place a cloth inside your pair so as not to dye the insole.

Apply the dye

Soak your wool applicator by dipping it into the paint pot containing your mixture.

Drain the applicator so that you don't spill any on your sneakers.

Place the applicator in a safe area first before dyeing the edges of the sneaker.

Gently press the wool ball so that the dye is absorbed into the fabric.

How to prevent the dye from bleeding?

Moisten the next day

Let the dye dry for at least 24 hours so that the fabric is as impregnated with it as possible.

Take a clean wool applicator again, which you will soak only with water.

Rub the damp applicator inside your sneakers and check if the color bleeds.

If it does, pass the damp wool applicator over all the dye, so that it does not bleed the next time.

Let the pair dry

Let the pair of sneakers dry for 24 hours one last time before wearing them.

The color will not fade once you wear your pair of sneakers.

If you are particularly attached to a pair of socks, do not wear them the first time you use them and choose black or dark socks.

Now you know how to dye the inside of your sneakers in just a few minutes. Dyeing is also an opportunity to give your pair a new lease of life.
