Dye Fabric
Want to dye fabric to revive, change the color or create a unique tie dye effect ? Follow our guide using SneakArts products for best results.
Step by Step Guide
STEP 1
Choose your colors
Whether you want to do tie-dye or revive faded fabrics, use SneakArts paints.
STEP 2
Create your dye
Mix the paint with 80% water (hot or warm) to create your dye and keep the fabric soft.
STEP 3
Dye fabric
Apply the dye with a brush, or soak the fabric completely for about 10 minutes. Let it dry fully, then repeat 2–3 times if you want a more intense color.
STEP 4
Let it set
Let the fabric dry for 48–72 hours so the color can fully set. If a bit of color runs, wash or rinse the fabric to remove excess pigment.
This technique is perfect for most fabric. Use 30mL for a cap, t-shirt or small clothes, and 100mL for a larger creation.
